The Tom Holland version of Spider-Man may only share the Marvel Onscreen Universe with Iron Man, Captain America, Star Lord and The Avengers for four movies.
"One of the things that I think is so amazing about this experience is that you don't have studios deciding to work together to make a film very often. In fact, it may never happen again -- after we do the sequel," “Spider-Man Homecoming” producer Amy Pascal tells Comic Book News.
Right now Holland’s Peter Parker is slated to appear in four movies in the movie/TV universe that houses Hulk, Thor, Vision, Punisher and so on:
“Captain America: Civil War” (2016);
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017);
“Avengers: Infinity War” (2018); and
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” sequel (2019).
And it could be five movies, depending on whether Spidey is aboard the 2019 sequel to “Infinity War.”
Some of us were kind of hoping Spidey would hang around forever, or at least long enough for the MCU to suck Erik Lensherr and the Storms into the fold as well.
