Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Edgar Wright's Baby Driver felt super far away with that August 11th release date. I was lucky enough to see it at SXSW, but even I was pissed off I'd have to wait until August to see it again.
Well, calm that inner nerd rage because Sony announced today at their big CinemaCon panel that they're moving Baby Driver up well over a month to a June 28 release date. They said it was because they wanted the movie to have a full summer run and that doesn't surprise me. The reaction to the SXSW screening was out of the world. Critics love it, the audience loved it and I think Sony knows they have a big crowd pleaser on their hands.
So, rejoice! New Edgar Wright hitting cinemas earlier than expected!
