Hey folks, Harry here... Entertainment Weekly has unleashed a bevy of images from THOR: RAGNAROK, the third THOR flick, this one by Taika Waititi (FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS, SEARCH FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE) and well... it's colorful! On that cover - we see HELA (an almost unrecognizable Cate Blanchett), THOR (a close cropped Chris Hemsworth weilding double blades rather than his famed Mjolnir) and VALKYRIE (Tessa Thompson sans the comic armor we're used to). The use of color seems startlingly bright, can't wait to see this world come to life!
Above - you see Jeff Goldblum - as the Grandmaster... Love the clothing... Love the Hair... I was really pulling to see a fully blue skinned Jeff Goldblum. The single bit of blue coming down from that bottom lip, I must admit, I hope that's a color reference for the CG team doing the rest of his skin that same slightly metallic blue. But ya know what, I love Jeff Goldblum so much that I'm just giddy to see however he brings this character to life.
This shot of Hemsworth definitely denotes violence... It's kind of hard to reconcile with the Hope & Crosby ROAD TO movies that I hear THOR: RAGNAROK is a kissing cousin to. The bold super red blood - or paint - or whatever is on him here is fascinating. And what is that thing in his right hand?
Cate Blanchett as HELA, sans Headdress... She's going to knock HELA out of the theater. I say that, because when has she ever just phoned it in - and you came away from a movie going.... "Cate Blanchett just stunk it the fuck up in that movie?" Yeah, never. Never gonna happen!
Tom Hiddleston's LOKI seems to be enjoying a cocktail and I thought Red Tornado was a DC character, but seems to be behind him. Giggle.
Here we have Ruffalo and Hemsworth in a hyper colored alleyway looking thing - and I wonder if Mark is Bob Hope and Chris is Bing Crosby... I just hope there's a musical comedy number with these two. No, seriously...
THOR: RAGNAROK needs a trailer now, want the crazy poster and even more I want the crazy movie yesterday! Seeing this movie's finished film look is going to be something different, that's for sure.
