Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. You know how every Christmas a bunch of critics and film blogger types decide to write up some smarmy anti-Love Actually thinkpieces? Fuck 'em. They're wrong. And you're wrong if you turn your nose up at the movie, too! I mean, you can be right for you, but you're definitely wrong for me. I get a ridiculous amount of happiness out of that sappy, silly, emotionally-draining movie and now I don't feel like it's Christmas unless I've given it at least a couple viewings.
Richard Curtis has a surprise for us unabashed Love Actually fans: he has written and directed a follow up, what sounds like a "Where Are They Now" short film done in support of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day.
Red Nose Actually will gather together a ton of the cast from the film, including Hugh Grant, Martin McCutcheon, Bill Nighy, Colin Firth, Lucia Moniz, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olsen, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln and Rowan Atkinson and will air at the end of this very month! It'll show on BBC One on March 24th and on NBC on March 25th!
Over the weekend producer Emma Freud tweeted some first look photos, featuring everybody's favorite awkward dancer Prime Minister. Her first RT was this coy shot:
Sneaky set shot - who's that then? #RedNoseDayActually pic.twitter.com/voLJvDsR04

Then she went with some more direct images in which you get to see David and Natalie together still after all these years!
And here he is. Our Prime Minister. Again. And still hot. #rednosedayactually pic.twitter.com/yydy1Nc1l0

Our pm is still married. And she's still lovely. #rednosedayactually pic.twitter.com/MGtUVDGiBE

The PM, his wife and the writer who never worked out a good camera face. #rednosedayactually pic.twitter.com/TT0pZB5p2P

That last pic shows Hugh Grant and Martin McCutcheon with Richard Curtis.
I can't tell you how happy this makes me. Call me a sap, but I'm super eager to find out where these folks have ended up.
