Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.
Hey, everyone. Garth Franklin down at Dark Horizons scored a killer scoop Wednesday with our first look at the teaser poster for HARRY POTTER. Actually, the film's got two titles, just as the book did. In America, we'll see HARRY POTTER & THE SORCEROR'S STONE, while the rest of the world will see him with THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE. I think it's a damn fine poster design, and it certainly looks like they're creating a dark, distinct feel for the ad campaign that's appropriate to the first book's sense of budding wonder. I have to admit... I hope they get this right. It's been a quiet film for the most part so far. I'm very interested in reading the final draft of the Steve Kloves script to see how dense a narrative they're attempting. JK Rowlings is an author whose work so far suggests she could be on par with Roald Dahl in the long run, and it would be nice if the fans of the world she's creating were given something truly magical next November. Here's hoping Warner does a presentation at ShoWest this spring...
"Moriarty" out.
