Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Ben Mendelsohn is going from the Death Star to Nottingham in the upcoming Robin Hood: Origins flick, per Variety.
I'm not sure we need another fucking Robin Hood movie when we already have a handful of good (and even more not-so-good) tellings of this story, but I gotta admit Mendelsohn as the Sheriff of Nottingham and Kingsman's Taron Egerton as Robin Hood is kinda interesting to me. Throw in the weird casting of Jamie Foxx as Little John and my interest is piqued even further.
Mendelsohn can for sure chew scenery with the best of 'em, so this rings a bit like Alan Rickman's casting in the Kevin Costner Robin Hood. That's not a bad thing. If we're going to get this movie anyway, let them keep casting it up with charismatic scenery chewers!
