Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. He might have won all the Oscars and made all the money in the world with his Lord of the Rings movies (and they are still f'n great), but my favorite Peter Jackson movie has been and probably will forever be Braindead (aka Dead Alive).
Part of it is seeing it at a young and impressionable age, part of it is having one of our most creative directors hitting his stride as a filmmaker while at the same time throwing all caution to the wind and making something wholly unique. Holy hell is Jackson on fire here.
I followed up yesterday's Evil Dead 2 with this BTS shot from Braindead for a reason. Both are funny horror movies from visionary directors reaching the tip top of their form as storytellers. And both are straight up awesome sauce.
