Ok folks, here's some animation news. First off the first test screening of PRINCE OF EGYPT! According to my papal spies, deep within Vatican City, PRINCE OF EGYPT and the POPE met. If one is to believe my spies, then I need to get the Pope to send in his review, "YO POPE, it's harry@aint-it-cool-news.com!!!" Well here's the scoop from the Flying Nun....
A couple of quickies:
- Rumour going around Dreamworks that Katzenberg took Prince of Egypt to Italy for a screening in front of the Pope this past weekend. It got two papal thumbs up. Now they need to screen it for a few upper level rabbis, so they can keep their ass covered for religious backlash.
- Mulan. Beautiful color. They keep any songs short. Mushu supports the story rather than awkwardly adds to it. And the ad campaign so far is simple and adult...I'm liking it. It's also got the deepest animated nose-pick ever seen (at least in a Disney flic).
- There is more on the horizon. Something called "Wild Animals" is set as the next project for the Dinosaur crew, which means even more challenges with 3D animals. And the development crew is working on "Sweatin' Bullets". Animated cowboys.....looks cool.
