Hey folks, Harry here...  Anytime there's an announcement about the Joel & Ethan Coen sitting down to write on a script, I get happy tingles and cinema goers have something to look forward to.   The project is called DEEP WEB and like Alex Winter's brilliant documentary of the same name from 2015, it too is the story of The Silk Road and the man convicted for what I'm gonna say is alleged, even though he's convicted, because if you've seen Alex's Doc...  and if you know anything about THE PRINCESS BRIDE and the Dread Pirate Roberts, which was the name that the FEDS allege Ross William Ulbricht (from Austin, Tx) was operating under.   

No real idea of the Coen's take on the material, which was previously being written by Dennis LeHane (GONE BABY GONE, MYSTIC RIVER & SHUTTER ISLAND).   However, I hope they bring a degree of absurdist Kafkian nightmare to the proceedings, because that's what it feels like when you dive into Ross William Ulbricht's story.  Also, Robert Pattinson must play Ross.   They look way too much alike not to go that route.  See:

DARK WEB has no director attached, but let's hope the Coens fall in love as they write, as this could be something special if they wrap their massive minds about it.
