Hey folks, Harry here.... like just about every other movie site online I've been getting a bazillion emails from folks about the new STAR WARS pics at StarWars.Com, and it seems to be a story where McCallum beats his chest about this new fangled Digital Camera... what takes pictures real purty. They then give us 3 pictures 'from the movie' that seem to be rather bland in every possible manner... and one really pretty sunset shot. All of which are low res small pictures. Now I'm not doubting the 'brilliance' of this new camera... It is a tool... like any other... one that allows for cheaper mistakes and cheaper corrections.... something that is of great use for the film industry. HOWEVER.... what kills me is this above shot of Hayden/Anakin. OK... is it just me, or does the club he appears in above look like a sub-par Television Sci-Fi bar beneath even the standards of QUARK'S in Las Vegas? That looks bad. Now sure... by the time they are done there will be a whole ton of cg creatures bopping about... as George inevitably attempt to out do Jabba's Palace scenes which were in turn attempting to out do the Cantina scene from the first film. Sigh. My understanding is that the above is Dexter's Diner. A place for food owned by a fella by the name of Dexter Jettster. Looks like a Yuppie DALLAS/FT WORTH hang out that I'd avoid like the plague. Though... that's just first impressions from a still.... I'm sure it'll be cool.... I hope.
