'What Did I Do??'
Herc’s Seen Tonight’s
First FLASH Since May!!

I am – Hercules!!

The CW says of tonight’s “Flashpoint”:

Barry is living his dream life - his parents are alive, he's asked Iris West on a date and he can finally be a normal guy as Central City has another speedster, Kid Flash, running around saving the city. When Barry starts forgetting parts of his old life, the Reverse Flash taunts his nemesis and tells him that there will be serious repercussions for Barry and the ones he loves if he continues to live in this alternate universe. In addition to losing his memories, his powers will also start to fade. When disaster strikes, Barry must decide if he wants to continue to live in this world as Barry Allen or return to his universe as The Flash.

* The “previously on” package ends with Barry saving his mom from an evil speedster.

* “There’s only one thing I know about life,” the narration begins over a close-up of a big cup of joe. “I know some things happen by chance and some things happen because we make them happen.” Beware the invisotext!

* Barry can move at super-speed without a protective suit.

* Iris remembers Barry from Mr. Hinkley’s elementary school math class. (In my elementary school, there were no math classes; one teacher taught all the subjects. In a 1980s superhero show, a fellow named Ralph Hinkley taught high school.)

* “Speed has always been my problem,” Barry tells Iris early in the season premiere, because Barry is secretly the speed-y hero The Flash.

* Alex Desert (“Becker”), who played Julio Mendez in 22 episodes of CBS’ “The Flash” turns up tonight as Barry’s boss Captain Mendez.

* Around the eight-minute mark we learn Barry has built his own secret private prison for the Jay Garrick-looking guy who tried to kill Barry’s mom. The special cage apparently prevents the speedster prisoner, who wears a yellow supersuit, from vibrating through its (plexiglass?) walls.

* Barry’s father has a hot young wife perhaps not much older than Barry himself.

* Wally West got his superpowers in a way that had nothing to do with that supercollider dealie that sped up Barry.

* “Oh God, what did I do?”
