Wes Craven to direct evil dark ALICE IN WONDERLAND film based on American McGee's ALICE!!!

Hey folks, Harry here and a few days ago I was browsing through email when I came across a link to a trailer for a videogame based on ALICE IN WONDERLAND called American McGee's ALICE. Hmmmm, I thought, I'm not much of a gamer, but the Wonderland mythos sounds like a great premise for a game... So I clicked on the link provided, entered my birthday, and began downloading this video game trailer.... ahhhhh the whims that a cable modem can give action to.... Next thing I know I'm watching an INCREDIBLY COOL trailer for something surreal and dark and disturbing. The sort of material that Alex Proyas would play with and get lost in. My instant reaction was... THIS IS GOING TO BE A MAJOR MOVIE!

KACHING! Today I'm going through email and see a lot of references to ALICE WONDERLAND... and it turns out that American McGee... the game's creator has sold the rights to DIMENSION FILMS... not only that, but John August (a screenwriter on GO, BARBARELLA, TITAN AE, SCOOBY DOO, CHARLIE'S ANGELS and JURASSIC PARK III) has signed on to write the screenplay... which is due this January. Wes Craven (umm do you really need me to write credits? I didn't think so) has signed on to direct!!!! And so far Natalie Portman is rumored to have expressed interest in going blonde for ALICE, but that is just a rumor... Thanks to FugiMax for the heads up! And for Well-Rounded.Com for nailing the interview!

Be sure to check out that trailer... it'll get you stoked!
