Well, here's the short of it TITANIC won 11 awards tying BEN HUR for most decorated film ever. If one was to take a look at the number of nominations as the tie-breaker... well TITANIC wins. You all know how much I love this film, but let me say... BEN HUR is still the champ in my eyes. I am delighted beyond words about this night. As I've stated before, Glen and I have been looking forward to TITANIC forever. Above you see the first image anyone saw of TITANIC. A spy of mine took this, long before it any images appeared in print. Paula Parisi broke the story of Cameron making TITANIC, Corona Coming Attractions had the first net-based coverage, and I broke the image and test screening barriers. What does that all mean? Squat. Cameron kicked ass, and walked away with three of them golden boys, all to himself. Here is how the evening turned out, award wise. Take it easy...
If you were curious how Hallenbeck, Robogeek, Moriarty and myself faired in our embarrassing prediction bit... well I lost, getting only 15 of 24, and then Hallenbeck, Robogeek and Moriarty all tied with 16 a piece. However, for our defense, we did our judging within hours of the announcement, before the hype, the campaigns, the expert analysis. We bent over the barrel and got it. Enough spouting though... here's the list...
