Hey folks, Harry here... I've been tracking Kim Jee-Wong as a director since I saw A TALE OF TWO SISTERS 13 years ago now. Since then, he has risen to become one of the premiere and best South Korean filmmakers we have producing films these days. In addition to A TALE OF TWO SISTERS, he's made the pure shot of adrenaline that is THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD... Following that up with the just jaw-droppingly great I SAW THE DEVIL. Then he made the best Arnold Schwarzenegger film we've had since his Govenorship, THE LAST STAND 3 years ago. This time he's bringing us THE AGE OF SHADOWS, which takes place in the Roaring Twenties in Seoul, Korea (country wasn't divided then. The film is about the underground resistence that worked to push the Japanese Imperialists out. The wound of the Japanese control over Korea is still very much a gaping wound in South Korea. I seriously can not wait to see this film! The film hits US screens September 23 of this year. Look how beautifully shot this one is!
Keep it cool,
