Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The Playlist has a couple clips from Ana Lily Amirpour's followup to the great A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night. Her newest is called The Bad Batch and it's some kind of Cannibal Wasteland picture and the two clips The Playlist debuted are my kind of weird.
You're going to think I'm crazy for drawing this comparison, but I got a distinct Night of the Comet vibe from the clips. Not so much in story, but in a crazy fun weird what-the-fuck-am-I-watching vibe that pulses off of the clips.
The cast for this thing is nuts. The two main actors featured in the clips are Jason Mamoa and Suki Waterhouse, but the film also boasts appearances by Keanu Reeves, Jim Carrey and Giovanni Ribisi.
The flick is just about to hit the fest circuit, so expect to begin hearing word on it ASAP. To hold us common folk over, here are the clips (one embedded, the other a link):

That's a hell of a tonal shift from her first film, which was a black and white Iranian feminist vampire tale. Can't wait to check it out!
