Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Fall is quickly approaching. I'm making Halloween plans already (that's how I roll), which might be one of the reasons a gory picture featuring one of our great goremeisters jumped out at me when I was deciding on the next image for the column.
KNB has done amazing work for three decades, but it all seemed to build to The Walking Dead. Definitely more eyeballs have been on their zombie work than just about anything else they've ever done and the show has also been a launching point for Greg Nicotero as a director. He's been in charge of some of the best episodes of the show and continues to kick ass on that front, all while overseeing the iconic zombie work.
Today's pic shows Nicotero and Scott Wilson as Hershel on a makeshift operating table, narrowly avoiding being turned into a biter thanks to a brutal amputation.
