Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I really, really, really like The Force Awakens. I saw it many times in the theater, but don't think any one of those times was in 3D. Home 3D has been more my thing than theatrical (brighter, cleaner), but going beyond that Disney's first double-dip with Episode VII comes at you loaded for bear.
Not only will this new Blu-Ray release see a 3D version of the film, but you're also getting all the bonus features from the previous release as well as new deleted scenes and, finally, a commentary by JJ Abrams.
I haven't seen a pre-order link pop for it yet, but they're aiming for the Holiday crowd with a November 15th street date.
My personal home system isn't set up for 3D, but even I would be tempted to pick up this release just for those extra features. I'm part of the problem, I know, but I'm a Star Wars fanboy. I can't help myself!
