Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Hope your weekend is going smashingly. Mine has been awesome so far. Spent the entire day with the nephews (our last full on hang out before they start back with school) that began with watching Clue at home and ended with a theatrical screening of Jurassic Park, their first and my 15th or so. Weirdly, this was the first time I'd ever seen it where I noticed that Nedry has Jaws up in a small window on one of his monitors when you first see him at his messy work station. I didn't think I could love that movie any more...
But that's neither here nor there. Today's pic comes from a movie I haven't gotten to show the kids yet. Spielberg's a given at their ages. Cronenberg not so much. When I finally unleash some Cronenberg at them it'll likely start with The Fly. I'm not too worried about the gore or sex stuff, but I want them to fully understand how fucking awesome the movie is when they see it.
Jeff Goldblum is such a good leading man it's a shame he doesn't get to do it more often. Geena Davis is really strong here, too, and then there's the body horror aspect that's as cringe-worthy as you'd hope it'd be coming from the man who made Scanners and The Brood.
