Calista Flockhart’s Cat Grant character will be downgraded from regular character to recurring as “Supergirl” makes its transition from CBS to The CW.
I gather Los Angeles-based Flockhart was not keen to relocate to Vancouver, where the show’s production is moving – so she will commute between California and Canada to facilitate her reduced role.
The move to Vancouver, where the CW’s “The Flash,” “Legends of Tomorrow” and “Arrow” are shot, was precipitated by a desire to reduce “Supergirl’s” CBS-size budget to something more in keeping with what the CW spends on its shows.
