Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I went out to see The Secret Life of Pets with family and they all loved it. I dug it, too. Sure, it's not quite up to tip top Pixar standards, but it's also a far cry from Shrek reference humor that's dated before the credits roll. It does help shedding some adult cynicism when you watch one of these films with cackling kids.
The movie's a huge success financially, so it's no surprise that the sequel has already been dated. You only have to wait 2 years! Secret Life of Pets 2 hits screens on July 13th, 2018.
Louis CK, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Albert Brooks, Dana Carvey, Kevin Hart, Hannibal Buress, Lake Bell, Steve Coogan and Eric Stonestreet all contributed voices last time out and I wouldn't be surprised to see them all return.
So, tell the kids to get excited for more wacky pet hijinks!
