Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. As one of the biggest Monster Squad fanboys on the planet it brings me great pleasure to get to give you guys the first look at Mondo's big vinyl LP release of Bruce Broughton's fantastic score, one of the best unsung scores of the '80s!
Art by Gary Pullin, this bad boy decided to go back to the classic mags like Famous Monsters for inspiration and I couldn't be more happy about it. Check it out:
This LP will be first sold at MondoCon, which will take place here in Austin October 22nd and 23rd and include appearances by artists like Martin Ansin, Florian Bermer, Scott C., Daniel Danger, Craig Drake, Jason Edmiston, Francesco Francavilla, Jock, Mike Mitchell, and, yes, Gary Pullin.
I think it's also okay for me talk about it now, so I'll spill that yours truly had the pleasure of writing the liner notes for this release. Pretty awesome and I couldn't be happier to contribute.
Can't wait to actually hold one of these babies in my hands! It won't be bogus, trust me.
