Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. At BNAT last December Harry got a greeting from the set of Kong: Skull Island from past-BNATer Jordan Vogt-Roberts and some dude named Tom Hiddleston. In that brief, funny video Hiddleston panned over and shared a tantalizing glimpse of a giant monkey skull and quickly panned back with a "Whoops!" reaction.
We knew then that Kong was going to be massive, but this below picture, revealed by EW (who else?) in their big SDCC issue really gives us a sense of scale to what the talented cast is going up against in this new film.
In the EW story, Vogt-Roberts gives some details about the movie, primarily that it is indeed set in the '70s and that Hiddleston plays a former SAS tracker and that Brie Larson is a war photographer that has been through some shit even before stepping foot on Skull Island. Oh, and this is not a Beauty and the Beast story, so don't expect a big monkey falling in love with any of our humans.
Lookin' good!
