Hey folks, Harry here... Ya know... I was doing my best to resist any pull from this film. I was being Eastwood on my porch shoo'in kids off my lawn, so to speak. PETE'S DRAGON occupies a specific sweet spot - 70's was when I was brought up. We had 16mm TV spots on my animation reel - that had 46 minutes of Animated toons... It was pretty sweet, but the movie. It was 3 spoonfuls of sugar with a slice of Key Lime Pie. Ie... the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas... Now, there's no telling how I'll react to the film... but I do love Robert Redford - and in 2 out of the 3 clips he's featured. The middle clip is with kids - and it's heart warming too, but really... Don't you wanna be a neighborhood kid listening to Robert Redford telling stories about killing dragons with his Buck Knife? ME TOO!
