The Hollywood Reporter’s Borys Kit tweets that actresses “in the mix” to play Barry Allen’s love interest are:
1) Kiersey Clemons. Following years of appearances on Disney Channel fare like “Austin & Ally,” “Good Luck Charlie,” and “Shake It Up!” Los Angeles-reared Clemons more recently transitioned to recurring roles on MTV’s “Eye Candy,” CBS’ “Extant” and Amazon’s “Transparent.” She then made a big splash on the big screen when “Flash” director Rick Famuyiwa cast her as Diggy in last year’s “Dope.” That led to a lot more big-screen work in “Neighbors 2,” the upcoming “Little Bitches” and next year’s “Flatliners” remake. Variety reports that Clemons is the frontrunner for the role.
2) Rita Ora. A big-deal recording artist, the Yugoslavia-born Brit had roles in “Fast & Furious 6,” “Fifty Shades of Grey” (as the title character’s sister) and “Southpaw.”
3) Lucy Boynton. London-born Boynton did loads of British TV before landing supporting roles in “The Blackcoat’s Daughter” and “Sing Street.”
Iris West could have a presence in Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” before zipping over to “The Flash,” which boasts a story forged by “Lego Movie”/“22 Jump Street” masterminds Phil Lord and Chis Miller (who are also hard at work directing Disney’s Young Han Solo movie). Ezra Miller reprises his "Batman V Superman" role of Barry Allen in both projects.
