Donald Glover finally gets to take part in a live action Spider-Man film!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Heat Vision dropped a rather fun story today saying that Community's Donald Glover has been cast in an unknown role in the upcoming SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING.

This should make some of you movie news regulars smile. You might remember back in the day there was a huge geek argument online pushing for Glover to be cast in The Amazing Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield got the gig and did a bang up job with what he was given. I adore his Spider-Man and think his Peter Parker is okay. The new guy has so far shown that he's the first onscreen actor to nail both Peter and Spidey.

We know Tom Holland is Spider-Man, so it's unlikely we'll get to see Glover slap on the spandex, even though the popular geek theory right now is he might be Miles Morales. That could very well be true. He was one of the inspirations for the character, afterall. Even if he is Morales I'd think Marvel and Sony want to firmly establish Parker as Spidey, at least in the first movie.

But he could also be a new character. Jon Watts has obviously been making sure to bring as diverse a cast to this film as possible.

Anyway, Glover's in the MCU now officially, which is pretty neat. What do you folks think?
