Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The first South Park game, The Stick of Truth, was surprisingly great. It took hard aim at the RPG game and somehow built what felt like a long, playable episode around that structure. It was both a fun RPG, a biting satire of that kind of gameplay and a thoroughly South Park feeling story all wrapped up into one.
Trey and Matt have a new game coming out, South Park: The Fractured But Whole (gotta love their stupid, juvenile, awesome titles) and this time they seem to be taking aim at the current superhero hysteria, digging at both Marvel and DC.
Check out the trailer:
One of my favorite things about the first game was that it felt like I got to wander around the world of South Park and take part in an episode. The trailer promises that same feeling for the new game and I'm 100% on board.
The game's coming out just in time for Christmas, December 6th, and will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. As a bonus you'll get the original Stick of Truth game and if you pre-order you'll get Towlie as a companion. You can pre-order below:
