Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. It's E3 time, so prepare yourselves for a glut of video game news and trailers to hit the site. That's not the norm, but as a movie fiend major who minors in gaming it has my interest.
EA actually opted out of E3, but is taking advantage of the pop culture press's attention being focused on gaming right now and debuted some news and footage from their line up. The crown jewel is their next installment of the Mass Effect franchise, called Mass Effect: Andromeda.
The game doesn't come out until next Spring, but this is our first look at the world and new characters. Give it a go:
I know it's early, but there's something a little off in that footage to me. It looks more like Halo 5 than Mass Effect. That's a small tonal change, but an important one. To me, at least.
EA promises that this new Mass Effect will allow you more freedom than any other previous Mass Effect game, so I wonder if it's more open world/universe in design than the others.
I guess we'll all see next Spring when the game is released on all current gen consoles and PC.
