Lisa Joy, the writer-producer currently hard at work helping husband Jonathan Nolan mount Bad Robot’s “Westworld” series for HBO, has just been hired to write about more bad robots.
This time she’s tackling the evil Cylons for Universal’s big-screen reboot of “Battlestar Galactica.”
Francis Lawrence, who directed “Constantine,” “I Am Legend” and the last three “Hunger Games” movies, is reportedly being sought to direct.
Before her hiring on “Westworld,” Joy wrote three episodes of “Pushing Daisies” and four episodes of “Burn Notice.”
One hears the movie will having nothing to do with Laura Roslin, Six, man-made Cylons and all the other 21st century components introduced to the franchise via Ron Moore’s fantastic Sci-Fi Channel reboot.
