Hey folks, Harry here... The more I see from GHOSTBUSTERS, the more I see a completely different tale. Here you'll find a playlist video that contains Character Vignettes based upon the 4 lovely ladies Abby (Melissa McCarthy), Erin (Kristen Wiig), Patty (Leslie Jones) and Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon). There's also a featurette upon their new ECTO 1. I've been waiting to see more of Kate McKinnon personally, I love her Hillary on SNL - and from her hairstyle in all the trailers - I've had her pegged as the new EGON. But watching the featurettes - I got to see a bit more of each of the gals' roles and I have to say, it's looking fun. Melissa McCarthy is the true believer, Kristen Wiig is the skeptic turned believer and Leslie Jones is a New York History buff that also comes up with the uniforms and that sweet Cadillac Hearse we see transformed into their ECTO 1 ride!
We'll see how it turns out soon enough. For me, just seeing the GHOSTBUSTERS done with female comedians gives it a completely different flavor. Then, there's a new synth version of the Ghostbusters creepy music at the end of each of the featurettes that gives me a case of the giggles. Personally, I embrace change, because I know it doesn't change anything about what came before. No matter what I'll always be able to quote along as I watch the original - I'll always have the slightly disappointing, but still beloved sequel - and I'll always have those blessed cartoons. BTW - Yoko thinks that EGON's cartoon hairstyle is exactly that of Hercules The Strong's real hair!
