Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. We're all in agreement that Jack Reacher was fucking great, right? We can pick nits comparing it to the Lee Child character all day, but dropping all that shit and just looking at the movie from frame one to end credits we should all be on the same page that it's an A+ hard crime mystery told perfectly by Christopher McQuarrie.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back doesn't have McQuarrie behind the camera, but it has more great Child source material to draw from and Tom Cruise classing up the joint again as the title character.
I must say I'm a little concerned about dropping the filmic continuity of having the big bad guy played by a random awesome director, but I'll give Ed Zwick and his team a shot.
People debuted two images from Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. The first is a pretty standard spy-ish shot of our hero on a balcony in New Orleans. The second, though, tells a little bit of a story. Reacher is restrained, bloodied, but obviously in control of the situation. Check 'em out:
