Alan Silvestri to score the AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR films!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Alan Silvestri knows his shit. I think that's pretty obvious if you've ever listened to any of his complete scores. Back to the Future is his obvious go-to, a perfect Amblin-era instantly hummable thematic adventure score. But listen to his Predator score or, hell, even his Flight of the Navigator score and you'll find that each and every note perfectly identifies the needed tone of the movie.

In recent years he did some of the best Marvel music work with Captain America and the first Avengers movie.

Silvestri has announced that he will be returning to the MCU to score both Avengers Infinity War films.

This is only good news since the man is so far the only one to really give a recognizable hero them to the MCU. We know that Michael Giacchino is doing Doctor Strange, which is all but a guarantee that we'll have a great score for that movie, but as of right now Silvestri is the best composer the MCU has seen, although I must admit to liking much of Brian Tyler's work, especially in Iron Man 3... it's just not hummable, which is a word I keep using, but it's my personal definition of what makes a good adventure score.

Anyway, Thanos is coming and he's going to have a badass dark theme, I just know it!
