Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Well, it looks like Marvel's finally found its Captain. Not America, the other one. No, not Britain. Come on, guys. Work with me here. Captain Marvel! And it is indeed going to start with Carol Danvers. That doesn't mean the alien Mar-Vell isn't involved, but the focus of the being with Mar-Vell's powers will be Ms. Danvers.
Variety is reporting that Brie Larson is in early talks to play Captain Marvel and that those talks are very, very positive (aka it's probably gonna become reality very shortly).
And that's great, great, great news. Brie Larson can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned and the idea of her being such a significant part of the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The word on the street is that she's going to be introduced before her standalone movie, which goes with what few whispers I've heard about pretty much everybody past, present and future coming into the Infinity War two-parter.
If this casting pans out we're in for something special, I think. What about you?
