UPDATED: Universal Greenlights THE INCREDIBLE HULK Today!

Hey folks, Harry here... Wellllll according to a reliable source within the ear to the ground world of Universal... there was a rumble of something coming this morning out of that world with that word around it. Universal decided in a meeting today, as best my source can tell, that they have GREEN-lit... THE INCREDIBLE HULK this morning for immediate production, and it is scheduled to begin shooting before the impending alleged summer strike with a late Summer 2002 release (likely the first couple of weeks of August or last week of July) Michael France and Michael Tolkin had been tooling away on the script until wunderwriter, David Hayter (credited screenwriter on X-MEN) came in.... and apparently from square one put together a script that it seems... UNIVERSAL is now happy and moving forward. What do they have? Right now... noone really knows. Coming Attractions has a really great page tracking the history of the project... and if you click on the more on this topic button below, you'll see AICN's coverage of it all... BUT if Hayter tooled this script from the ground up... then reports on any of this is useless.... as they have a script that we haven't seen hide nor hair of. That big ass wrestler, Bill Goldberg was making rumblings around the same time that Hayter came aboard saying he might be involved at some level.... That does not mean he'd play the Hulk... It would just mean he'd be involved. The folks at UNIVERSAL DIGITAL have been wanting this project to move forward for quite some time and have TONS of money in R&D... some claim as much as $20 million, though I believe that number is grossly overstated... but then again this is Hollywood... who knows. As for my source... I'm gonna call him The Chameleon

Here's an update! I'm hearing from another source that THE HULK has a tentative green light for March 2002..... With a possible announcement coming soon. What does this mean? Could it mean release on March 2002? Start of shooting March 2002? We're keeping our ears to the track, and we've been told to expect an announcement soon!
