Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. One of the things I love so much about cinema is that no matter how in the trenches you are, no matter how closely you're paying attention to the cinematic landscape, there's always something that can pop up seemingly out of nowhere and surprise you.
I had no idea The Night Watchmen was a movie that was made until this trailer popped up online today. The film could be crap. I haven't seen it, so I don't know, but the trailer is definitely up my alley.
It's a horror comedy that has a very Pennywise-influenced killer clown in it and weird other supernatural shit like zombies and maybe ghosts? I couldn't quite tell, but something unseen grabbed a lady on that security cam footage.
In all this chaos the only hope these hapless late night office employees have is the lazy, bottom of the workforce barrel security team to save them. Check it out:
Like I said, it could end up being bad. There's certainly some clunky moments in the trailer and it does look like it borrows fairly liberally from recent fare like Cabin in the Woods, but all the ingredients look good to me. If the movie pulls off the fun tone the trailer promises this could be something special.
