The CSI franchise began in 2000 with the Vegas-set mothership, then soldiered on with spin-offs set in Miami and New York. “CSI Cyber” was the last of its breed, felled like so many other CBS dramas by being forced to follow the low-demo “Good Wife” and “Madam Secretary.”
CBS announces its first CSI-free schedule early next week ahead of its May 18 upfront.
