Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Both Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon return for the new Jason Bourne flick and we finally have a trailer for the appropriately titled Jason Bourne.
Watch it and then we'll come back and talk about it:
First impressions: contrasting the early Bourne film footage to the new stuff really underlines that Matt Damon is entering his "Sheriff Years." He's as A-list star good looking as he's ever been, but the deepening lines on his face do make him feel more intimidating. You get the feeling this guy's been through some shit just at a glance, which is good.
The flick looks big and fun and that Vegas chase sequence glimpsed in the trailer could be amazing. The dialogue... at least from this trailer... maybe not so good. "He's seen things. He knows things." "Remembering everything doesn't mean you know everything." Eh...
Hopefully that all feels more natural in the context of the movie. What do you folks think? Am I asking too much from my escapist action flicks? Am I being too judgmental? Am I being too kind? Who am I? What's my purpose in life? Have I seen things? Do I know things?
