Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. News broke today that the great Willem Dafoe is dipping his toe back into the comic book movie world, which automatically makes that news pretty damn cool.
THR says Dafoe will be in both new Justice League films and playing a good guy this time around. Which good guy is still unknown because seeeecreeeetttsssss.
Dafoe's such a pleasure to watch in anything. It's a testament to his talents that he's just as good at playing a heart-breakingly good, kind soul as he is at playing a crazy insane villain.
It's still one of the great travesties of modern blockbuster filmmaking that Sam Raimi chose to cover up his face as the Green Goblin instead of add on to it with some great prosthetics. I will complain about that choice until the day I die!
But there you go. Justice League is shooting now, Zack Snyder is directing from a Chris Terrio script. I was not a fan of BvS, but I always pull for Snyder. The man knows how to shoot and knows how to cast. I just hope the script he's working on is a teeny tiny bit better this time around.
