Disney's not ready to put down THE JUNGLE BOOK!

JUNGLE BOOK is all about getting Mowgli out of the jungle, right?

But who the fuck are we kidding? Who wants to see that?

Not Disney, apparently, who is already putting together a sequel in advance of their film’s release this Friday. They’re in talks with Jon Favreau and Justin Marks to return as director and screenwriter, respectively, and have Neel Sethi (Mowgli) apparently locked in under contract. The voice actors, specifically Murray, Kingsley, Johansson, and Lupita Nyong’o, are “expected to return”.

Favs’ film has been getting strong word of mouth and amassing considerable interest with its advertisements and its stellar voice cast. Disney’s already pulled the trigger on a JUNGLE BOOK sequel once (remember?), and they’ve already made a killing overseas, so if this one is genuinely destined to be a billion-dollar earner, then clearly they have to make some sort of move towards following it up before that kid gets too old to run in his skivs.

But will they adapt The Second Jungle Book, with its human charaters and teenage Mowgli? Probably not, huh?

THE JUNGLE BOOK will make you forget about your worries and your strife for about two hours this Friday.
