If the last NEIGHBORS 2 trailer wasn’t doing anything for you, then maybe this red-band trailer, and its dildo and sex gags, will be what it takes to win you over.
The trailers for the first film were just as sloppy in their showcasing of isolated gags and moments (which no doubt killed in the advance screenings), so I’ll assume the final product doesn’t feel as blatant of a strung-together cash-grab callback to the original as this trailer. I don’t know how much actual narrative mileage they can get out of the same premise, even with the gender switch, so we just have to see how many laughs the actual movie contains.
Anyone else catch Jerrod Carmichael alongside Hannibal Burress’ cop? Either he's joined the force in the time since the first film, or Burress' cop just still loves fucking with him.
NEIGHBORS 2: SORORITY RISING will parade a lot of young girls in bikinis in the name of empowerment on May 20th.
