Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with a clip from PANDEMIC, the latest film from Director John Suits. Now I'll be honest, I've personally tapered off in my pursuits of watching films set around "an outbreak." I feel like Danny Boyle pretty much dropped the mic on that genre with 28 DAYS LATER so many years ago. That's possibly blinded me to some incredible films, potentially amazing films that demand to be seen. I've not yet had the opportunity to watch PANDEMIC, but one thing's for sure - it's got one hell of a cast with folks like Pat Healy (who recently killed it in SXSW film TEENAGE COCKTAILS), Missi Pyle, Alfie Allen, Rachel Nichols, and Mekhi Phifer. The film hits theater screens on April 1st and VOD on April 5th. It seems like a fun escape, especially give the talent involved and given the screenplay was on the 2012 HIT LIST. The film also seems to feature quite a bit of interesting POV's, almost like a first person shooter, thus throwing the audience in random character's shoes. The below clip features Mekhi Phifer, Rachel Nichols, and Alfie Allen on a bus, all while battling a horde of sickos.
Pandemic is set in the near future, where a virus of epic proportions has overtaken the planet. There are more infected than uninfected, and humanity is losing its grip on survival. Its only hope is finding a cure and keeping the infected contained. Lauren (Rachel Nichols) is a doctor, who, after the fall of New York, comes to Los Angeles to lead a team to hunt for and rescue uninfected survivors.
