Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The comic book movie news is flying fast and furious today! First we had the Civil War set visit stuff hit, then Spider-Man got a popular young star who makes me feel super old for not knowing who she is and now DC's Justice League looks to have found a great role for JK Simmons, who was one of the most perfectly cast actors for their role in the history of Comic Book Movies (probably just under Christopher Reeve as Superman).
Simmons knocked it out of the park as J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films and now he's been nabbed by DC to play Commissioner Gordon (!!!) in Justice League, which begins filming next month according to the scoop by THR.
It's a radically different comic book role for Simmons and that's exciting for me. We all know Simmons is one of our best working actors and I can't wait to see how he fits into the expanding DC universe.
What do you folks think?
