Sony has released the first image from their likely crazy-inappropriate R-rated animated feature, SAUSAGE PARTY. The film is the latest from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and takes aim squarely at the standard animated film storytelling formula as it follows a sausage on his journey to discover the meaning of life.
Naturally, the film boasts a healthy amount of recognizable voice talent, including Rogen, Paul Rudd, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson.
Sausage Party is an R-rated theatrical animated movie about one sausage’s quest to discover the truth about his existence. After falling out of a shopping cart, our hero sausage and his new friends embark on a perilous journey through the supermarket to get back to their aisles before the 4th of July sale.
The film is set to open later this summer, but SXSW attendees will have the opportunity to attend a special work-in-progress screening to take an early look. No doubt, bawdy humor and a ton of sexual innuendo will be the order of the day - no complaints here!
