Harrison Ford gives us our biggest look at the Disney Parks' upcoming Star Wars Experience!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. As a Disney Parks addict there was really only one thing that could keep me from watching the big Wonderful World of Disney special and that was actually being at a Disney Park.

I'm in Orlando at the moment to do some interviews for Zootopia and spent my Sunday with my family wandering around Hollywood Studios (my actual interview work starts in a few hours). We were too busy meeting Kylo Ren to actually watch the special where they gave a bigger glimpse into what to expect from Disney's "Star Wars Experience." I'm still going to call it Star Wars Land because goddamnit that's what I wanted when I as a kid, so I'm going to stick with it.

Thankfully this crazy thing called The Internet exists so I didn't have to wait long to let Harrison Ford catch me up on the goings on. Here's his segment below, which covers what to expect from Star Wars La--- I mean, the Star Wars Experience, as well as a nice goosebumpy dive into the music of Star Wars.

My first impressions are mostly positive. We still don't have any definitive details, but you can tell the work going in is the kind of detail-oriented stuff you expect from Disney Parks. You really don't have a sense of how intricate this all is until you spend time at one of the parks and see that there's nothing half-assed.

My only concern is that they seem to be leaning heavily on the Star Tours model of sitting in a souped up VR simulator while stuff happens on a screen. I know this isn't everything, but I just hope we get some cutting edge Star Wars RIDES, not just bigger, better video games.

The recent work done at Universal for Harry Potter is kinda what I hope will anchor this new side to the parks.

What do you folks think?
