I’m not a big traveler, preferring to hide in my dark office with my many monitors, but I have been all over Cartagena, Colombia, the site of tonight’s “Amazing Race.” One of the northern-most points in South America and one of the oldest cities in the New World, it was founded in 1533 and is painfully hot and humid year-round. The wife and I thrived by staying submerged in the hotel pool by day and venturing out only when the temperature dropped at night. But it looks like the “Amazing” racers are exerting themselves beneath the equatorial nation’s sun. Nothing good can come of this.
