A poster has been released for the upcoming film AVA'S POSSESSIONS. I have to say, I am intrigued.
The film follows a woman in the aftermath of a demonic possession. The demon is gone, but she has no recollection of the past month of her life. She attends a Spirit Possession Anonymous group in an attempt to reconnect with her former life and rebuild the bridges lost in the possession.
It sounds like an interesting spin on the all-too-familiar possession horror story, with plenty of room for potential comedic moments.
The film stars Louisa Krause (MARTHA, MARCY MAY, MARLENE), Jemima Kirke (GIRLS), the always incredible Carol Kane (SCROOGED, THE PRINCESS BRIDE, THE UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT), and Alysia Reiner and Deborah Rush (both of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK), alongside horror favorites Lou Taylor Pucci (SPRING, THE EVIL DEAD), and Dan Fogler (HANNIBAL).
The film was directed by Jordan Galland and features a score by Sean Lennon. It opens in theaters and on VOD on March 4th.
