Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. So, Amazon announced a release date for the release of the Blu-Ray of Star Wars: The Force Awakens along with an official pre-order page yesterday, but then retracted the date, which was April 5th.
The pre-order page is still active (offering the Blu for $19.99), but no release date is now attached. Disney will assuredly blast out a full-on announcement when they're ready, complete with details on extra features and all that fun stuff, but I know I would want to know the target time period for the release, so I figured some of you might want to know as well.
JJ Abrams has said much of the deleted scene material will likely be on the eventual release, but I'm really just pulling for a nice clean HD version of the film, some good BTS material and a couple awesome commentary tracks (director/writer, actors please!).
When Disney does their big, detailed announcement you bet we'll let you guys know, but if you wanted to get your pre-order in now so you have it for sure the day it comes out then go and get you some!
