The film tells the story of a frontiersman who somehow manages to survive a viscious bear attach, only to be abandoned and left for dead by his hunting party. He must then brave the unforgiving elements and the wilderness to find his way back to civilization.

In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption. A pair of new posters have been released, featuring both DiCaprio and Hardy's characters and setting the scene nicely for a cold, isolated survival tale.
THE REVENANT hits theaters on January 8th.
