"There's a guy who's going places!" The final trailer for THE PEANUTS MOVIE hits the web!

This promises to be the last trailer for THE PEANUTS MOVIE before it releases in early November.

They highlight one of my favorite aspects of the footage I saw in July, which is that Charlie Brown’s thought bubbles are depicted as black-and-white Peanuts cartoons. That sense of nostalgic reverence is present in this trailer, but this ad does seem more aimed at kids with its bouncy pop music and its namedrop of ICE AGE and RIO (as if any parents have fonder memories of those than Snoopy & co.). Still, you get a taste of the intact Shulz spirit in these chopped up scenes, and just enough slapstick and relatable humor for the youngsters to want to get in on this PEANUTS thing.

I will say this; almost all of this stuff is funnier in the context of their scenes.

Also, director Steve Martino has helped devise Peanutize Me, an online app where you can personalize your own Peanuts character (accompanied by the “Linus and Lucy” theme song). Check it out.

Are you stoked for Charlie Brown’s return to the big screen, or should they have left Shulz’ legacy alone?

THE PEANUTS MOVIE will not help Planters do any business on November 6th.
