Arnold Schwarzenegger may be too big a star to compete with the likes of Dee Snider and Omarosa Mantigault-Stallworth on “Celebrity Apprentice,” but it turns out he’s not too big to host the show, NBC announced Monday.
People will mock Arnold for taking the gig due to a stalled movie career, but I must point out that “Terminator Genisys” has now nearly tripled its $155 million budget in worldwide take, and as the foreign grosses continue to mount Paramount is actively contemplating continuing the new planned trilogy with a sixth “Terminator."
Though he's never taken a regular TV series role before, Schwarzenegger had several scenes as a cop in last May's series finale of "Two and a Half Men."
Former “Apprentice” host Donald Trump says he could not host the show due to his presidential run, and NBC made this announcement on June 29:
Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.To that end, the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants, which are part of a joint venture between NBC and Trump, will no longer air on NBC.
In addition, as Mr. Trump has already indicated, he will not be participating in “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC.
