Hey folks, Harry here with this latest on MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA... Now, you have to understand... authors are often optimistic and perky when it comes to the development of their properties... LIKE... This one for example. We know that MINORITY REPORT, BIG FISH, INDIANA JONES 4 and the Lindbergh films are all at various stages of existence... and Spielberg is a bit precocious when it comes to picking his next film. Personally, this would be a very interesting direction for him to pursue... Here ya go...

Long time reader, yada, yada, yada. Arthur Golden, the writer of Memoirs of a Geisha, gave a lecture at my college tonight. (go to www.smcm.edu if you dont believe me) He was very entertaining and had a great sense of humor.
Most everyone was rolling when he said Whoopi Goldberg had been cast as the lead. He said that the lead role was actually given to a Japanese women who has never been in a film before and has only spent about 9 years in America.
He also said that the script has not been finalized and that Speilberg has not scheduled a shooting time yet.
I'm sure I'll never have news again so I wont give you a clever, stupid, or funny name. No wait, how about "J-Hole?"
